Tree Planting & Care

Planting

  1. Prepare a hole 1 inch bigger than the plug. It is a good idea to add a little bit of fertiliser.
  2. Push a bamboo stick (can be found at any garden centre) into the ground at the edge of the hole.
  3. Place your tree into the hole. The top of the plug should sit half an inch below the level of the surrounding soil.
  4. Fill in with soil and water well .
  5. Slide the tree guard over the tree and fix it to the bamboo stick using the plastic ties provided

Care

  1. In dry spells keep well watered.
  2. Keep weeds under control within 2 feet of the tree.
  3. If weeds grow inside the tree guard remove them carefully by lifting the guard and pulling out the weeds.

Remember: for best results plant your tree on arrival. It is quick and easy to do, so do it now!
(If conditions are freezing keep roots moist until weather warms.)
